We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Smithfield Beach yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Grassy beach, park and recreation area, featuring picnic spots, a boat launch, lifeguards on duty and biking trails.

Visited during casual country travel. They have a nice waterfront, good trails up and down the river. Prefer the one down stream, views are better and more ups/downs.

Yet another beautiful National Recreation Area in North Eastern Pennsylvania. If your looking for miles of hiking near the Delaware Water Gap, this is the place.
Our family has been going to Smithfield Beach for over 30 years. The Park service does an excellent job keeping it clean and safe. The park can get quite busy on the weekends in season. But if you visit midweek you have the run of the place.
