Confirmed from Buttermilk Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Really nice park. They redid the basketball courts and that is set up nice. Large open areas for throwing a football or running around. They do concerts there in summer which is nice. Pretty clean and well used. Great for winter sledding as well

Buttermilk is a great hill to sled. The incline is fun for all ages. My 6 year old son had a blast. There is a gentle incline to walk up the hill after each sledding run and avoid the incoming sledders. They also have a nice set of flood lights located at the top of the hill for sledding after dark.

We were in the area and wanted to relax with Martha, our senior pup. Buttermilk Creek Park was a lucky pick! Very beautiful and peaceful. We laid under the tree in the leaves.... the sunshine and smell of Fall filled our senses. A short walk and some stick catching.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
