Confirmed from C B Wood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park with a playground, picnic shelter & access to nearby hiking/biking trail.
What runners say about C B Wood Park
“The only reason I’ve not given it 5 stars is for the lack of RR … however, it’s a great playground which is well maintained without any broken equipment.”
“Took the dogs on a BEAUTIFUL walk.”
“Benches, picnic tables, a hike/bike trail, and many shady trees make this park a nice place to take your kids on weekends.”
Trailhead for Arroyo MTB route. Medium to advance. Clear trail. Well maintained. With Jumps. Shade. Light downhill.
Arroyo Colorado Trail · 1.8 mi is a very nice bike trail that originates here and follows the irrigation stream under a few bridges to Mc Kelvy park near HEB and the Elks. Nice for walking, running or biking. It is about a 30 minute ride both ways.
Great for toddlers. Appropriate sized equipment for toddlers and older siblings. Astro turf style cushions falls. Situated between family neighborhood and walking trail.
Nice updated park along a system of walking trails. Plenty of slides and cool things for the kids to keep busy.

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
