We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Harlingen Thicket World Birding Center yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve offering trails for walking and biking.
What runners say about Harlingen Thicket World Birding Center
“You see rabbits and birds especially when your quiet.”
First time at Harlingen Thicket trails. A very nice and clean place to visit. Saw 4 types of water turtles, a White tailed kite, the train going over the bridge, and alot of families biking, running, hiking, or just having a great weekend. Will return some day.
I am relatively new to the bike trails here and I am very pleased at the amount of variety is available based on skill level. I frequent this park as a birder and photographer and am now making the transition on the trail systems and I couldn't be more excited to make my way up the trail system.
Very relaxing walk. People use it as a running area. It should be to enjoy nature and walk and listen and see what comes out of the next bush. You see rabbits and birds especially when your quiet.
First time riding in the bike trail very interesting not for beginners unless you stay on the trail not off Trail
