Well maintained, in the Oro Valley section. Other parts need lots of work. Oro Valley enjoys pocket parks and Loop access to local businesses, while the rest of the OvlV/Tucson/Mariana consortium gets the shaft. It really is beautifully maintained, though. The further south you go, the worse it gets.
Fantastic trail system for running/jogging. There are always people out enjoying the outdoors and there are many cyclists, so please remember to walk towards the right side of the lane for safety reasons. During the spring and summer watch out for snakes, which can be active.
Absolutely love The Loop! Remember the Loop is for everyone! Watch out for wildlife, and spandex warriors who they think they own it!
A beautiful bicycle and pedestrian trail, the Canada del Oro connects to the Pima County/Tucson Loop Trail system at the Santa Cruz River and runs north and east all the way to Oro Valley and Catalina State Park.
