I highly recommend this less popular gem for a pleasant hike. This trail is less popular than the State Park nearby, making it ideal for a quiet hike. There is a fair bit of climb and descend, which is worth of taking a note if you are not ready for that. The trail portion itself is well maintained dirt trail.
Good hike. The main loop is moderate, not difficult, not easy. Depending on how fast you go will drive your heart rate accordingly. Well maintained trail. Lots of rain diversion built in.if you take the longer loop near the top of the loop you can detour up the mountain and get more vertical.
Walked over here from the nearby Hilton. I walked over using the path going by the tennis courts, much more direct route than what google shows you (thank you previous reviewer for the tip!). Beautiful trail that I caught towards sunset. Saw deer and lots of birds and rabbits.
A rocky trail worth spending 2 hours to get to the top. Beautiful views of the mountain and city. Some steep areas require climbing. It’s fun.
