Confirmed from Cahaba Lily Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Pavilions to eat/find some shade, a large swing set and hiking trails behind the park that looks to be built by the boy scouts.”

This is a beautiful and clean park! It has several playscapes with slides, tunnels, a small rock wall, monkey bars, etc. The best part is that they are different sizes. Some are lower to the ground for toddlers to use and there are taller ones for older kids, so there's something for all ages.

A well maintained little park. Nice playground equipment for kids, a large open grass field for frisby or dog play, and a little hiking trail that meanders through the woods. I personally walked the trails and it'll take you about 20 min to 30 to walk them all.

It's a special place. Please everyone, clean up after yourselves after your parties. Go around and make sure you have picked up all the little sparkle decorations and whatever else is not meant to be there. There's amazing wonderful nature trails attached to enjoy and animals that live there. Let's keep it clean.

Such an underrated little park. A big field in the middle to play, two play grounds (one for smaller toddlers). Pavilions to eat/find some shade, a large swing set and hiking trails behind the park that looks to be built by the boy scouts. If you haven't walked it you should.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“A huge plus for me was the fact that there are actual bathrooms with running water on site.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
