We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Flemming Park on the Cahaba yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Flemming Park on the Cahaba
The Flemming trails are great for mtn biking and hiking. Starting near the bus depot on Buccaneer drive and wind next to the Cahaba River all the way to the new canoe put in at the base of Wilborn neighborhood. Signage and maps coming soon.
Clean new park, trails are decently maintained, no clear signage as of now, the trail ends at the lake if you continue right on the trailhead at a dam by the lake.
This was an unexpected find. Nestled at the end of a neighborhood, a long a gravel road. Only a pavilion and clean bathrooms. Lots of trails along the river. Enjoyed the peacefulness.
Small quaint park hiding from all the foot traffic in Hoover, fun little hike for family and pets. Different trails ranging from quarter mile to maybe a whole mile .
