Confirmed from Cahaba River Walk Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded park offering a paved trail, picnic tables, a playground, and dog park, plus river access.
What runners say about Cahaba River Walk Park
“The park is beautiful without going near the water and there is a little nook for picnics that is covered and a huge fenced in dog park.”
“Plenty of shade provided my trees, enough benches to sit down from the long walk.”
“What a beautiful, quiet place to visit.”
♿️ Some of this park is accessible to wheelchairs and those with mobility issues. It is paved in a loop and there is a little side nature trail that is not paved but easy enough to get around. A little bridge takes you to a little bench.
Pretty wooded park with great views and access to the Cahaba River. A paved but short looping trail. Has 2 swings, pull-up bars, and a dog park. Also has a pavilion and a memorial bench looking over the Cahaba. The swings are nice but it’s not a “playground”.
Great little park, but it is little. Update (8-18-19): We just visited the new dog park, thankful for it, whoever made that happen, we appreciate it. Only one caveat, the dog park has poison ivy, it's not eat up with it but it has some so be advised if your dog runs through it and you pet them, you get it.
Nice short walking track with lots of shade. Several benches and picnic tables. Park has nice views of the water. Needs a restroom
