Confirmed from Camp Dennison Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a trail that is suitable for children and provides a break from the daily grind.
What runners say about Camp Dennison Nature Trail
“Great, wide, well kept trails.”
Great place to walk dogs off leash. Its a big trail in the woods. Perfect.
Love love love!!! The perfect spot to go for a walk and decompress, or go for a jog, or get the doggo out of the house. There are a few different paths leading down to the river too!!! Wheel chair accessible bathrooms as well as a sitting area with picnic tables.
I love this nature trail. I would give it 5 stars, but it is really short. It is great for families with young children. Hiking with our 3 and 1 year old children took about 45 minutes. Without children, it is about 15 minutes. It is quiet and little traffic
Great for walking dogs. Very few people . A few times we have had the park to ourselves. Very peaceful. Lots of open space. Bags are provided to pick up after your dogs, SO PLEASE DO...or don't visit.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
