We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Canal Singletrack North Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Canal Singletrack North Trailhead
As many years as I've been going to the canal, I have discovered this nice biking trail right before you get to the water works place. The trails are really kept up and clean. The pictures shown are more difficult paths for bikers, but there are easy ones near by that go out for miles.
A great trail for intermediate riders who are comfortable with the stand up method and who are familiar with there bike and shift intuitively, certain parts are a little advanced but the trail keeps you going at a good pace, there is also a optional Hard trail razor's edge but you can skip it.
Awesome place to fit in a quick trail ride. The trail is roughly 3 miles long, but don't let that deceive you. It is a mountain bike trail, so it's much more challenging than riding on a dirt road.
