Confirmed from Canyon Trail Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kids' park featuring a playground, a stream and tennis courts.
What runners say about Canyon Trail Park
“A great playground -- safe, clean, maintained.”
“A nice little quiet neighborhood park with tennis courts.”
I just saw a mountain lion here in the middle of the day. Be careful at this park with dogs and kids. I would stay on the grass field and avoid the trail.
A great playground -- safe, clean, maintained. The trail is a hidden gem! Peaceful stream, towering redwoods, birds chirping...a very relaxing spot. The folks who use the field as a dog run generally have well-behaved dogs, though they keep a less than perfect eye on them.
Grew up playing in this park, I remember them building it. My grandmother lived on Conlon Ave and all of the neighborhood kids loved it. Catching tadpoles in the pond. It has an upper and lower park with a path that joins them and a creek that runs down next to it.
A great place for a walk. Nice frog pond for kids on the West side, the East side has a play ground, grass field, picnic table and tennis courts. There is also club house with large deck that can be reserved from El Cerrito park and rec. for events.

- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
