Confirmed from Capital Area Greenbelt Andrea Avenue Spur's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Capital Area Greenbelt Andrea Avenue Spur
“You can choose from a variety of walking trails that are scenic and well maintained.”
Well this is a lovely section of the greenbelt! All paved pedestrian and bike access. Good for taking longer (>2miles) hikes.
I try to get here with my dog just after sunrise. This section is about 1.5 miles and is incredibly peaceful. We've run into deer, turkeys, and even foxes along this section. On warmer days, my dog can investigate box and painted turtles attempting to cross the trail. This entire sections runs along Asylum Creek.
Love to bicycle the Capital Area Greenbelt. Starting at Fort Hunter and riding counter clockwise to City Island around Harrisburg, and the spur. I finish by circling Wildwood and back to Fort Hunter for 28+ miles!
Great trail, beautiful scenery. Will go back and ride more of the greenbelt. If you like to ride your bike or take a nice walk I would recommend this trail.
