We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Carolina Thread Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Carolina Thread Trail
“ABSOLUTELY LOVED GOING THROUGH McADDENVILLE & SEEING ALL THE BEAUTIFUL LIGHTS.”
This is a beautiful natural trail along the Catawba River. Foliage is gorgeous in the spring and summer. We saw this "healing plant" today. Its a native species of the area
I simply love the trail and use Gastonia's sections. I love the interactive map and being able to see trails statewide. Linking to more information at each marker is a big plus. Very user friendly trail and app. You can log your trips. Best part is the trail. Very clean. Many woods trailside. Store access in places.
