Confirmed from Carpenter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring an amphitheater, a carousel, a boat house, a playground, a skate park & sports.

Loved it here! Multiple lakes and areas to walk around for all different levels of activity - you can do a quick lap around one of the small lakes for hundreds of steps or you can do a full walk around the park for thousands of steps. Pretty mountain views at sunset, too!
Just visiting Denver! This park is very nice and big. It has trails, playgrounds, picnic area, carousels (1$/per person), geese, water splash pad...and clean restroom.
Best park in the area! There is so much here and there are constantly events being hosted. The main soccer field is well maintained. The playground area is larger than others in the area, and is in the center of the park, so the only road it is near is one leading from the main road to the parking lot so it is rarely…

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
