Confirmed from Carrollton Greenbelt Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park offering a disc golf course, a walking trail, and picnic facilities.
What runners say about Carrollton Greenbelt Park
“Wow it was beautiful and clean i really enjoyed it, how much it changed since the last time I was there.”
“Not much shade on the trail so walking here on a cooler day would be better.”
“You can play disc games, ball, cook out, and enjoy the calm beauty.”
Carrollton has a very nice park system with miles of hike & bike trails.. First class...
Clean, picnic tables, you can walk around the little stream. Right behind a apartment complex but it's quiet and nice. I dont see anything for kids to play on, but it's wide and open. Not what what we were expecting but nice none the less.
This is a nice park with a stream running through. You can play disc games, ball, cook out, and enjoy the calm beauty. It runs through Carrollton with E Z access and parking. It is not a playground but just north of Trinity Mills they have slides and merry-go-rounds, tennis courts, but no stream.
Walked along the orange trail and watched people playing disc golf. Parked at Tree Line Park and crossed the bridge Saw some egrets along the way. Not much shade on the trail so walking here on a cooler day would be better. Next would like to explore the blue trail. Continuing to appreciate the public spaces in DFW

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
