Visiting this park is part of my routine when in the area. It is typically quiet but occasionally hosts gatherings. There are large shade trees and often a nice breeze from the St. Joseph river. My canine friend loves this place. The grounds are well groomed and the river front view is an expansive panorama.
Update. Recently the secluded trails have been posted with gates and no trespassing signs. I regret posting some of the details in my initial review (see below). At least the pictures can be shared. This park is a nice oasis just outside of town. There are secluded trails along the river.
Nice new walk outs onto the river for fishing! It helped to avoid getting caught up in the rocks. There is also a new kayak launch area that I plan on trying out soon.
