Confirmed from Riverview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground, ball field, picnic areas, and walking trail, plus river views.
What runners say about Riverview Park
“If you walk the entire perimeter of the park you’ll get about 2 miles in and get some beautiful views.”
“I haven't been there much in the past several years but after a visit there last weekend I was reminded of how nice and quiet of a place it is.”
Great place to take a walk, or sit and enjoy river activity. Close to Riverview Cemetary, a great place to stroll and see history in tomb stones
I’ve been going to Riverview Park in Saint Joseph since I was a younger child attending family reunions there. If you haven’t been recently the landscape has changed considerably with all of the water overflow from the river.
Quite a large park area with open views of the St. Joseph River. Large mature trees are located throughout providing islands of shade on warm summer days. There are denser woods on one side with an easy walking path through them. There are also restrooms here. My four footed friend is estatic when we go there.
This is one of my favorite local parks. When I want to feel far away, but I don't have time to drive very far, I go to Riverview. There are many picnic and parking areas along the river. You can walk the paved road or head off to the back corner for a wooded trail. It is a hidden treasure for bird watching!

“If you park at the bathrooms right at the entrance to the park , You would be remiss to believe that you should just do the nature trail and you’re good to go.”
“I was excited to see some new stuff, but saddened that some of the old trails and boardwalks/bridges are no longer accessible and have not been maintained.”
“Nice park with a lot of paved walking paths, some fields, and lots of access to the river.”
“Most of the trails are packed dirt, mowed grass Or gravel roads.”
