Confirmed from Cartwright Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling green space featuring a popular fishing lake, soccer fields, picnic areas & a playground.
What runners say about Cartwright Park
“The soccer fields are pretty far in the back in the park but the field we were on was pretty well maintained.”
“We go exploring here quite a bit, love the tranquil lake & the wooded areas are very quiet & peaceful!”
The Lake... ahhh! The soccer fields. The space (soccer off-season). The hiking. The conscientious housekeeping. The maintenance (the lake sand could be combed for removal of a few glass shards). It's all so enjoyable! 😊😀
We go exploring here quite a bit, love the tranquil lake & the wooded areas are very quiet & peaceful! My grandkids love the play area & watching the ducks is a blast (I think they’ve named every duck now) we will definitely be going back!
The soccer fields are pretty far in the back in the park but the field we were on was pretty well maintained. When it's busy with lots of soccer games, the parking up close gets full and you have to park lower down road which could make for a long walk with gear, etc.
Excellent place to bring your kids, great place to walk, bike, picnic, or anything for open spaces. It also has a lot of space and freeroam areas. Also a good place to fish especially with a boat as you have a higher chance!
