Confirmed from Cascade Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Always clean, so much fun for kids.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 15 mentions

“Beautiful park that has a playground, shelter house, restrooms, trails and of course the waterfall that is one of the best in Ohio.”

Excellent little park with several playgrounds, a couple miles of walking trails and a good little like to a natural waterfall. The hike had a lot of rock formations which made for a much more interesting hike.

This place is an amazing day-trip. Bring a cooler or something because there's no refreshment stand. The paved paths are fantastic but the real gem of this place is the dirt\unpaved trails. Younger kids a can enjoy it too if you stick to the paths.

Absolutely beautiful!!! This place is a great place to visit!!! Hiked back to the waterfall and we were Absolutely blown away by the beautiful surroundings and waterfall!!! It was a solid 7 out of 10 in our opinion. Trails and not really bad except for a few spots but nothing to crazy!!!

Wonderful park with some Paved and dirt trails near the Black River. There is a 0.9-mile loop that's takes you from the parking lot to the waterfalls with wooden steps to take you down to an overlook. Note that near the waterfall is a lot of broken glass on the trail. Be careful with pets.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
