Confirmed from Cato Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground for kids, soccer fields and an archery range.
What runners say about Cato Park
“This is a very nice pool, I like it here, lots of places to sit some areas with shade, the pool is always very nice and clean, people are always nice”
Very nice park. Enjoyed leisurely walk with our dog. Several nice mowed areas with a nice connecting trail
Nice large park in the middle of the Edgewood neighborhood. Some walking trails and a playground are here, as well as a pool for summer.
Lots of hills, be prepared for a hike if you're on foot. The pool is beautiful and the dog park is nice.
A cute hidden gem. A small park for smaller children, hiking trails, a pool, dog park as well. A nice little area to get out and enjoy the day without being to big, fearing getting loss. Definitely would recommend

Plan your run at Cato Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
