We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Alice Knight Memorial Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Alice Knight Memorial Trail
“Overall a great hike for a novice that shows beautiful rock formations and a small waterfall.”
This trail leads to the grotto it is about 1.5mile to the grotto and back. It it easily accessible via the close parking lot. The trail had its difficulties but we navigated with our 5yr old so be your own judge. Overall a great hike for a novice that shows beautiful rock formations and a small waterfall.
This trail is short, but quite worth it. The forest is beautiful and wild. The trail is challenging with ups and downs, and rocks and roots. if you go left at the fork, the trail ends at a grotto. The only drawback is the airfield nearby so there are plane noises from time to time.
Nature has wrecked this preservation of a slopeside trail Graffiti on the old limestone is sad to see Plenty to walk, but not accessible/feasible for the non-youthful
Amazing trail that is great for the whole family! Amazing variety of fungi, flowers, wild herbs, and wildlife (varies by season)! Good for short hikes!
