We have been the Caumsett State Park many times for hikes, this was our first bike ride. The trails are great, even the off pavement are great for bikes. So much to see. It is nice that the bathrooms are right by the parking lot, they are clean and easy to access.
Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve is such a gorgeous and lush place with so much to do and see. I had so much fun e-scootering along the main trail, passing by pieces of history and scenic views. There were plenty people biking, running, walking, etc.
Great park, very scenic, great trails! Good for biking, hiking, in the winter cross country skiing, fishing, the Eroding Cliffs, the Fresh Water Pond and beach and the Long Island Sound are great sites. The English Garden is very charming. The restrooms, parking lots have been improved and increased.
Really amazing place on LI for a hike! I chose a ~5 mi loop via alltrails and loved it. A little something for everyone here, history, wildlife, woods, beach. Really neat how the trail winds through the woods beside Long Island sound.
