This is one of my favorite areas to take a walk at when pressed for time. There are tons of wildflowers in the spring and colors in the fall. Boat launch for the river located nearby. Good places to fish as well.
A real easy hike along side a small beautiful stream, wooded area. Top pictures are of the Greenwood home foundation, wall by stream and look for the well! It's still there!
The trail is flat on one side, and hilly on the other. You can make a loop or go out and back. There are 2 swinging bridges and the trail is mostly dirt with some roots. I would rate the trail as easy. Do note that the hillier side is steep at spots and has a sharp drop off right next to it.
Love walking the side trail. The view is gorgeous here. Even though there’s a lot of people some days it’s still very peaceful!!
