Confirmed from Cedar Mountain - Dallas County Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Preserve featuring overlooks and trails for walking, hiking and mountain biking.
What runners say about Cedar Mountain - Dallas County Nature Preserve
“We stopped to rest and sat at several benches and really took in some beautiful views.”
“The dogs love running and finding new friends along the way as well.”
The preserve is a treasure in the metroplex. A very special place that helps remind us of our place and connection with nature. It is so incredibly close to most urban and suburban areas and yet provides ample trails and places to explore, get lost and find yourself again.
Great but very difficult hike up to the top of the "mountain". You can see Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington from the top as well as all of Grand Prairie/Arlington-the view is amazing. No need to drive to the hill country just hike up here!
Not at all hard to find the trails.... Same parking lot as the Audubon center, just follow the signs.
Ok, I'll make this short. I had surgery last year, I'm trying not to push it if possible. So there are a couple of trails, mostly hilly. The paths were well maintained and the inclines were gradual. We ended up hiking the whole trail.
