Confirmed from Escarpment Road Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Preserve with hiking trails for varying skill levels, including some that are good for kids.

“Beautiful, well maintained trail with gorgeous views.”
Beautiful, well maintained trail with gorgeous views. Medium skill level trail. Not a trail for beginners. Lots of rocky terrain, roots and steps. SO MANY STEPS! Bring a hiking stick and comfortable shoes. The views are worth it!
One of the most underrated trails in the DFW area. Went with almost no expectations and was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience.
Nice trail, has different paths to loop. But if you want the trail to be more secluded, i recommend you to come early. I came at 7 and it was starting to fill up, and i left at 9 and there were a lot of cars in line to enter. Overall, it was very nice.
One of the best trails around. This place is perfect for beginners to experienced hikers. Great inclines and decents with well maintained trails. Benches around for resting and bathroom at the head. If you have dogs, there is a crystal clear natural spring stream that runs thru it.
