Confirmed from Centennial Trailhead At Machias Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail lined with bike paths and play equipment (including a train-themed one), plus a water fountain.
What runners say about Centennial Trailhead At Machias Park
“The trail is well maintained and the views if you take it north are amazing!”
“Beautiful shady space with covered tables, play equipment that the kids love and a trail for bikes.”
Even on a rainy day, what a lovely trail for a walk. Has a small covered space and playground for kids. The best views are on the northward walk. Trust me. The photos below are from the path southward.
Beautiful walk . But needs water stations a lot of sun which is nice but no water
Very fun! It goes far and is nicely paved. Lots of scenery and some road noise.
I like Centennial Trail over Burke Gilman and Sammamish River trail because of less traffic and quiet in woods. This spot, Machias Trailhead, is located between Snohomish and Arlington Trailhead. I usually stop here for using a restroom and refilling water. We bike there on 6/3, 2023.
Trail conditions & character
“The Trailhead has many amenities including a play area for children aged 2-12, restrooms, picnic tables, a horse trough and hitching area and a bike repair station.”
“Convenient parking lot right on the trail with full restroom service, with enough picnic benches around it.”
“Beautiful shady space with covered tables, play equipment that the kids love and a trail for bikes.”
“But needs water stations a lot of sun which is nice but no water”
