This was a cute space, I visited in the off season, pre-spring, so everything’s dead and the grass had not been tended to or trimmed back so it was not very aesthetically pleasing…I’m new to town so hopefully this spring it will be tended to and look as pretty as the pictures I found online.
I came across this oasis in the concrete city as I was out for a walk. There are some gems hidden in the vast concrete realm, that is Lenexa, and it was a pleasure to sit and enjoy the sun and birdsong, as well as the occasional dragonfly.
Absolutely love this park! Great loop for running or walking and being next to water and greenery the whole time, yet right near the new City Center. The greenspace is great for frisbee or hanging out on nice days.
Nice little green space near downtown lenexa. Not really a kid playground but a lice place to walk or enjoy a little time outside if you're already there.
