Confirmed from Central Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Central Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (425 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“A very small but beautiful and well maintained green space in the middle of the city.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“This is a beautiful park to just walk around in, pretty calm in the day but there's enough around to feel lively.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“On a hot sunny day you can find shade under the trees.”

Great place to relax or walk around with the beautiful trees. It is well tended to the grass was cut and clean, well manicured. A lot of 🐕 dogs and most were respectful for picking up after them, which is the owners responsibility. Great job for the people who take care of it.

This is a really nice park for walking and exercise. Extremely safe being right next to the Clinton Police Station. I believe that people are not allowed to be there after the sin goes down. But as any park that's normal. I like the water fountain and the trees make for awesome photos with the kids.

A lot of great open space and beautifully groomed grounds. Paved Outer Edge so that you can walk and get exercise. Lots of beautiful trees and friendly people. It's a great place for the kids to run but there is no playground or any type of structure for the kids to play on.

Beautiful park! Everyone is friendly! We visit here on hot days so our dog won’t get overheated. Lots of shade and beautiful large trees! They even have dog poop stations to make it convenient to pick up your dogs poop. Excellent small park!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 12 mentions

“I'm not a dog owner but I like the fact people can bring their dogs, however some folks are not very responsible in their cleanup efforts which is too bad.”
