They wanted to develop all this land in the 1980s. My brother was part of the program that saved it. This place is part of my life! I grew up skimboarding 🏄♂️ here. They called me "The Legend" I didn't necessarily like that but I accepted it.
These are some trails in Chambers Creek Canyon. Distances are approximate. Use extreme caution on any side trail. 1. Trailhead at Chambers Creek Road This Chambers Creek Trail goes upstream towards University Place’s Kobayashi Park and trail, but does not connect. 2.
Great short trip emerged in the forest with nice spacious trails. A great walk/hike for all ages groups. Great for dogs (on leash, please).
One of my usual hiking locations. There is also decent fishing in the creek down below. Make sure you abide by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife guidelines because there are special rules for fishing this area.
