Steilacoom has a great dog park. Fully fenced, big parking lot (multiple parking lots can get you to the dog park via trails), and good amenities (water fountains, dog poop bags, garbage cans, agility course, etc.). The large dog park has good grass coverage and wooded areas here and there.
My wife and I visit this park several times a week to walk. It is the largest park in the area and has hiking trails and athletic fields. The area high schools use it for cross-country races. It is a popular place for trail biking and running. There are two off- leash dog parks for small and large dogs.
Very large park with great walking trails. Some are paved, and most are not. There are baseball/softball diamonds, soccer pitches, a large playground, a lake for fishing, and a huge off leash dog park. There are well maintained public bathrooms and lots of history to explore.
We love the dog park here. It is fully fence, but there's so much room for the dogs to run and play it really doesn't have the feel of a fenced-in dog park.
