Confirmed from Chatham Park Wetlands Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Chatham Park Wetlands Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (8 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Nice local trail with a gravel surface. It goes through a swamp or reserve area and there is some flooding on the south end during spring.

★★★★★ — William , Jan 2025

I just found this place and it's awesome! A great place for a quick walk. But it has some amazing little views and alot of history!

★★★★★ — Jennifer , Dec 2021

Not really a park more of a path between neighborhoods. There's no place to hangout or eat or really play like you'd see at a typical park. With that said this is one of my favorite paths in the area and running or walking through here is always a treat.

★★★★★ — Brian , Sep 2020

Nice path between neighborhoods. Not really a park, it would be nice to have some benches. Still a pretty nice walk

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Chatham Park Wetlands Trail

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
