Confirmed from Hooker Oak Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I love this park! It is extremely dog friendly, has lots of parking, shade, picnic tables, creek access via several private little alcove and "beaches." There is a really nice basketball court that has matting on it rather than concrete. There are 3 baseball fields, and 4 playgrounds from what I saw.

Very nice park. Well maintained. Super clean & Shaded. Picnic areas. Handicap park on front side. Toddler sized park on the back side. Baseball/softball fields. Walking trails. Freebie golf. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms. We will be returning for more fun!

Our favorite park in town! Perfect trails to take the stroller down. Beautiful, clean, quiet.

I five this park four stars only because it doesn't have a real viable swimming area. There's a basketball court, playground, clean bathrooms, picnic areas, and access to upper park, and while the creek does run through here it isn't as prime a swimming spot as the swimming hole across the street on Vallombrosa, or up…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 7 mentions

“Still my favorite place to catch views and spend the day exploring in Chico.”
