Afternoon hike at Buttermilk Falls was a nice little hike and not challenging at all. found parking on grilbride at the chimney Rock park hawk watch. it's hit or miss if you actually get a spot. no parking on roadside so becareful since I've heard of police handing out tickets.
Chimney Rock Park is great for the avid hiker. The paths have a lot of stones, probably from the quarry near by. Loose rocks will make slip at any given time, so Watch where walk and walk cautiously. Other than that, it's a great hike.

Quite an excellent township park that seamlessly rolls into the nearby county park, which share a common forest and river. Of course I love hiking on the mountain(s) in the nearby county park (Washington Valley Park, East), but the wooded trails, rolling hills, and "Alice-in-Wonderland"-type landscaped areas around…
