Confirmed from Citrus Hammock Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood nature preserve featuring a palm-tree trail known for woodpecker sightings.

“It was gratifying to see how this natural area has been transformed into a beautiful nature area that is the perfect place to take a short hike and connect with nature.”
“A nice quiet walk- saw crows, blue heron, pileated woodpecker, flowers and an armadillo and heard sand hill cranes.”
This is a 65 acre preserve located in historic White City. It is part of the North Fork St. Lucie River Greenway, a network of over 65 miles of greenspace that serves as an important highway corridor for wildlife, people, and plants to traverse.
Beautifully kept park with trails that have a few interesting birds. The landscape is full of butterflies and pretty dragonflies as well.
A nice quiet walk- saw crows, blue heron, pileated woodpecker, flowers and an armadillo and heard sand hill cranes. Only saw 2 other people there and they had the same experience of frustration from lack of markings on the trail. It had been dry so I was hoping to not have to navigate muddy areas. Not so.
Nice walking trail lots of birds in the area too. Area has recently been cleared and will be lovely once new undergrowth has set in.

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
