Confirmed from City Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about City Lake Park
“The area is beautiful, quiet, and perfect for walking, birdwatching, and just enjoying nature together.”
“We like it out at City Lake, it's pretty peaceful with lots of fun things to get outdoors and do!”
We found this place while geocaching. I'd never been to this park before, but it is a gem! I love the Enchanted Trail.
Great place to go fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding - really anything on the water that doesn't have a motor!there's also a hidden spot to swim in the woods as well as plenty of hiking/mountain biking trails. The walking trail, bike ramps, Frisbee golf and bird watching spots are also pretty cool!
The park and trails are beautiful. I do wish the trails were set up more for multiuser experience instead of being so bike heavy. I like to trail run and hike more than biking. A plus is that I got to see a family of baby raccoons trying to learn to cross a stream.
Nice little park with a fairly open 9 hole disc golf course. Neat walking trails in the woods..

“Concrete tee boxes for disc golf, paved running trails, bridge across creek extending all the way to the south side.”
“The on-site restrooms are great, and the safe parking area allows everyone to join in on the fun!”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
