Confirmed from City Of Mission Hike and Bike Trail Park Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about City Of Mission Hike and Bike Trail Park Entrance

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (265 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Unfortunately, there's people that like to take their dogs on the unpaved trails and don't clean up after them so watch your step.”

This park is lovely! Dog friendly and super clean. The trails are well marked and enjoyable. I've never seen so many cacti! There are paved and dirt trails. Bathrooms in the beginning of the trail. Mid afternoon very quiet. By 530 it get busier but everyone is very friendly.

Great bike and bike trail. The park is deceptively large and has a lot of off paved trail miles. The trails are fast and flow nicely. Not too technical and not a lot of climbs but still fun. Take lots of water as it heats up fast.

★★★★☆ — Noe , Jul 2016

Great for out door biking and exercise. Plenty of shady mesquite trees. Clear trail. Beware snakes. Stay off grass. Good parking. Clean bathrooms. Public bike repair station.

This trail is beautiful! I highly recommend if you are looking to get some fresh air with your fur baby!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 7 mentions

“The paved paths are minimally maintained, but adequate for my commuter bike, running between the parking lot to Bentsen State Park entrance.”
