Confirmed from City Park Walking Track's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about City Park Walking Track

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (95 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Partly shaded, close parking, clean restrooms and small outdoor exercise machines around the track.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“Nice smooth, gravel walk trails around baseball fields across the street from the cemetery not a whole lot of traffic very peaceful.”

Our travel ball team is always having tournaments here, and it's one of my favorite fields. There's plenty of shade trees, and fields for the tots to roam and play. Not a fan of the huge dips at the entrances, nor do I care for the gravel they laid connecting the fields.

Very nice walking track. Always kept up an clean. Has restroom facility which has been clean every time I have been. Burlington does a great job at keeping up it's recreation areas.

★★★★☆ — Russ , Jul 2021

I have track practice here. it's fine. it does the job I guess.. I mean it's a track, what am I supposed to so about it? "Ohh it made me run like Usain bolt" like no.

★★★★★ — Jaden , Apr 2022

Nice walking track, although it could be better marked. Fairly level, gravel, stone dust and grassy portions. I'll be going back so I can loop the entire trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“That aside, the park also has some equipment around the track so you can incorporate other exercises into your walk/run, along with public restrooms that are decent.”
