Confirmed from City Square Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great park to walk through and view some local history but is honestly more of a rest stop then anything else. You sit on the cool stone seating, view the fountain, and then continue on the Freedom Trail or whatever else. Offers some really nice grass to rest on so I can't hate the place.

Great park, definitely love walking or driving by it. I especially find beauty in very simple things such as this park, definitely nice to walk through when your on the freedom trail

★★★★★ — Graham , Aug 2019

A really nice park with a pleasant fountain in the middle of it and some really cool sculptures of fish around it. This is a nice spot to appreciate the outdoors in and walk around.

Plenty of shade in the park, which makes it an absolutely beautiful place to relax! The fountain was off today but still was very interesting to check it out.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
