Confirmed from Civitan Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park offering a walking trail, kids' playground, open lawns & a disc-golf course.
What runners say about Civitan Park
“It is simple, and could benefit from more windows, but it is clean and brightly lit, snug and dry and climate controlled.”
“8 or 10 years ago I used to go to this park to fly kites because of the beautiful hills, grass and open space.”
“Could be shaded the whole way if the city weren’t cowards 😉 🥲”
Really enjoyed walking around and the little gazebo was in the middle if the pond perfect
the next time you're looking to take the family and get outdoors this is the place to go in Muskogee. it's a little piece of "not Muskogee" in Muskogee. 8 or 10 years ago I used to go to this park to fly kites because of the beautiful hills, grass and open space.
Civilian Park is a great experience for families, couples and singles. There is good playground equipment for kids, including a small splash pad and a walking trail for adults.
If you dislike overcrowding, this is the place for you. Good for morning and evening walks or jogging. Always well kept.

“great place to go on 4th of July night to watch fireworks coming up in air from all over Muskogee up on the hill.”
“Could be shaded the whole way if the city weren’t cowards 😉 🥲”
“I love the single concrete walking path, but as long as it is, it gets lost in the 43 acres of open space, dotted sparingly with big trees.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
