Confirmed from The Papilion in Honor Heights Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about The Papilion in Honor Heights Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (287 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“Beautiful location, great for weddings, staff wasn't very accommodating around schedules even when location not in use, hence not 5 stars.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“But , what a gorgeous park and area for a peaceful lunch or walk.”

I gave this beautiful place a 4 star only because there wasn't many butterflies at all in the butterfly house. But , what a gorgeous park and area for a peaceful lunch or walk. I actually loved this area.

Another original beautiful light display for the Garden Of Lights event. Drive through and walk through sections gives a unique experience. Excellent for all ages. A magical experience.

We loved the amazing landscaping in the Flower Garden. The children area was just as beautiful. Walking into the Butterfly Pavilion was awe inspiring. All of the varieties of butterflies fluttering around you, spotting all of the tiny, baby caterpillars on the leafless trees, and watching the butterflies emerge out of…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
