Confirmed from Honor Heights Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
122-acre arboretum & botanical garden offering trails, a recreational area & an azalea festival.
What runners say about Honor Heights Park
“We have also come to the park in other times of the year and it's a nice park well kept and alot of room we had a picnic and it was nice”
“The Butterfly Pavilion Is an incredibly rare and beautiful building and interior display of live butterflies that you can join in walking through their domain!”
Such a beautiful park, and so much to do. You can fish in the pond, walk the path around the pond, kids can play in the playground, and depending on the season they have a garden with a butterfly room. They also have some really pretty birds, and wild flowers around the pond.
What a awesome park, they have so many trails, ponds, gardens, and picnic spots located all throughout the park. We came from Texas to see all the azaleas in bloom. It was a wondrous park. My mother lives in town and we choose to make a day of it and head to the park.
It cost $7 for me and my two children to get into The butterfly exhibit and overall there weren't a whole lot of activities to do in it but I really enjoyed the whole experience.
Very nice park! Great place to enjoy an afternoon. We visit the park every few years in the spring to see the azaleas and other pretty flowers. We live 3 hours away and it is a challenge to get there at just the right time of blooming season!

- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
