We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Clara D Peet Preserve --- Ashtabula County Metroparks yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a BEAUTIFUL place for a rustic walk. You travel down a dirt road and have a couple of options for parking near the very old covered bridge which is super cool. You walk through the well marked entrance and onto a large, well used and maintained main path.

Beautiful easy to hike trail. There is multiple pavilions that are well maintained. There is a public unisex out house about 5 minutes down the main trail it was fairly clean. The parking is a little limited but it is not usually busy.

★★★★★ — Nathan , Jul 2023

From my research, Clara Peet was a resident who left 65 acres to be preserved and available to the public for enjoyment as well as primitive camping... love this concept and wish everyone did this... keep it with the public!

This nature trail and park is maintained fairly well. Its a great place to reconnect to nature and unplug from techno world.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
