Confirmed from Clayton Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular gathering place with sport courts & fields, a pond, walking paths & a community center.
What runners say about Clayton Community Park
“Everything is always very clean and there's tons of parking spots which I also find to be a plus.”
“Great park that is beautiful and clean.”
“They have shaded bleachers which not only helps with the sun, but foul balls as well.”
“A diverse and family friendly park with tennis courts, baseball fields, volleyball sand courts, bocce courts, walking trails, grills.”
My favorite place to power walk! Nothing like hitting the trail everyday, you can walk near the ball games and listen to the laughter, or around the pond and hear the frogs and see people enjoying some quite time fishing or take a dirt trail and omg how beautiful out on the trails to take amazing pics!
I love the upgrades made to the park! They’ve made the playground WAY bigger and added multiple slides as well.. I’m also glad they repaved the trail
I was up from Florida visiting my sister and niece. They brought me to this park that was a part of my sister's childhood. Although I was in weather I didn't quite know how to handle and was absolutely Frozen and shaking I walked the nicest trails!!! I saw people of so many walks of life just enjoying this place!
We have lived in Clayton for 4 years and just recently discovered this park. I love the walking trails. There is ample shade and it's not super crowded. Our dogs don't enjoy crowded walks, but this is the perfect spot for them. The pond could use some maintenance but otherwise, everything is great.
Trail conditions & character

“lovely park with a walking loop trail, very peaceful”
“Most should feel safe walking on paved trail which is about 1/2 mile.”
