Confirmed from Clover Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Clover Creek Trailhead
Great trail that branches off into other trails. There are some decent lakes along the trail. Or if you want a challenge, you can climb to the top of Aspen Butte. The road getting there is excellent.
Beautiful trail to ride our horses. Goes all the way through to Varney Creek TH.
Absolutely love the snow covered views of Mt. Shasta & Mt. Lassen. Neat spot to run around with natural wetlands, ducks, & wildlife. Some of the trails could use a little maintenance and more gravel. It was a fun run with a good amount of walkers, joggers, and dogs on leashes.
Nice little parking area to attempt Aspen Butte from an improved trail. No other improvements at trail head so come prepared. No other cars on the day I went.
Trail conditions & character
“Ample parking with a few turn outs on the way after hitting the dirt road.”
