Confirmed from Coal Creek Corridor Open Space's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Great place to go and walk our puppies plus very peaceful and got to hear the coyotes out there howling and carrying on”

Fun hike for those with back and knee problems, easy flat surface with lots of wildlife and dogs. Caution about the million bikes though with pups.

A decent walking/jogging/biking trail. Went because it had the name "open space", but there's really no open space to walk around on that isn't private property. It's not a good place to let your dogs off leash. There're prairie dogs, private property fenced with barbed wire and the trail is close to a main road.

Love the trail system and taking my dog down to the creek! Always lots of wildlife around. I've seen turkeys, ducks, coyotes, and owls. Lots of spots to relax by the creek and amazing views of the mountains.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
