What runners say about Rock Creek Open Space
This location is a very nice, double wide trail with crushed/pulverised gravel that traverses an area adjacent to new apartments and a large medical complex. Due to the location, there's very little to no shade along the 4 mile stretch of trail (and for the most part, there is no water in the creek!).
Great set of trails that lead you from Broomfield to Lafayette to Superior. The city keeps the trails clean and well groomed. There is usually a couple people on these trails either walking, jogging or riding their bikes but the trails are never crowded.
Part of this "Open Space" may be undergoing changes, at least the view will, specifically the southern part, from the Exempla Cir. entrance (which is a bit hidden at the back of a parking lot), down the Rock Creek Trail to West Dylan Road. (The trail goes underneath NW Parkway).
