Confirmed from Coal Ridge Park & Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Coal Ridge Park & Trail
“Wonderful quiet wooded park with a small lake.”
Nice little Park that has access to the Guernsey trail. Sign says that dogs must be on a leash, but nobody else was there so I let my trained dog explore. I will visit again when I'm in the area.
Wonderful quiet wooded park with a small lake. There are fire rings and benches and even covered areas. A trail goes all the way around the lake and has a connector to the Great Guernsey Trail.
Beautiful park! Well taken care of! Great place for a hike, camping, and fishing!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
