Confirmed from Salt Fork State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large state park spanning 17,229 acres on a lake with marinas, boat ramps, hiking trails & a beach.
What runners say about Salt Fork State Park
“in housekeeping came back to prepare the cabin on such short notice and left a wonderfully clean place - in which to create another year of great memories.”
“Today didn't yield anything for me but, the peaceful and beautiful view of the lake and sky was enough for me today.”
“This makes them a great place to find peace and quiet isolation in a kayak, and enjoy the wildlife, including many Bald Eagles and Osprey.”
Huge park with a lot of areas to explore. Several of the hiking trails are near camping sites. If you aren't camping, the only parking for these trails is at the camp site shower room building. Trails are marked well.
Amazing place and extremely huge . So many different campgrounds, lakes beaches, lodge, cabins, indoor and outdoor pools, hiking trails, and much much more... It's a 10 star in my book and I , highly, recommend staying here.... Word of advice.. .. make sure you stay awhile... So much to see..
Went on a girls trip to salt fork state park . The beaches were beautiful and clean . The camp site was amazing and everyone around us was great . No issues and they have a lot of hiking you can go on .
Beautiful well maintained State Park. Lot of amenities, golfing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding trails, a beach. The lodge is beautiful with indoor and outdoor swimming pools! Very clean and neat, wasn't crowded, lots of parking.
