Confirmed from Columbia City Parks & Rec's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Columbia City Parks & Rec

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (118 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“New playground equipment in several areas well maintained and managed ball diamonds nice splash pad for kids of all ages.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“The pond is full of life and surrounded by beautiful plants and wildlife.”

Our town is not very big, but for it's size, I think we have a nice park. It was busy today. The playground, soccer fields, trail, skate park and ball diamonds were all being used as well as many picnic tables and the pavilion was full. It's fun, good exercise, and well used. Plus the splash pad is great on hot days.

Amazing park! There are trails to bike, run, walk, or even skateboard on! They have a small park area, a decent skate area. Baseball fields to watch people to play or to play in. The splash pad is great for younger kids. The pond is full of life and surrounded by beautiful plants and wildlife.

Quiet, peaceful and safe environment. As I sat there in my car I watched a single women walking or jogging, and that speaks volumes for Columbia City.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 4 mentions

“Dogs are welcome on the paved trails and grassy areas!”
